Commentator's Betting-Slip Dress

Betting tickets. You construct them. You purchase them. You clutch them. You cash them. You throw them. You wear them…. wait, what?

SKY Sports racing personality Maddison-Clare Sloane vowed to wear a dress this weekend made up of 348 commemorative wagering slips for the Down Under ‘supermare’ Winx, a Thoroughbred who was gunning for her 16th consecutive victory in a Group 1 event Saturday (March 3) at Randwick.

Sloane told Perth Now that the dress is actually comfortable, but that she would wear it only for a short while – until she concludes an interview with Winx’s part-owner, Debbie Kepitis.

“I can’t sit down in it so I’ll be on my feet for a while,’’ Sloane was quoted as saying.

No word if the dress played a role or not, but Winx went on to win The Chipping Norton Stakes at Randwick on Saturday.
