Under the guidance of Paul MacLean, Deuces And Jacks advanced first-over to win Sudbury Downs’ Saturday night feature event, the $11,000 Not Listed Preferred Pace

Deuces And Jacks was gapped back in fifth lagging 13 lengths behind the leader, Jersey Dan (Mike MacNeill), at the :26.3 first quarter, but the five-year-old gelding put his nose to the grindstone and advanced through panels of :55.4 and 1:25. With a :28.1 final frame, Deuces And Jacks catapulted himself to the lead and reached the wire in 1:54.1 finishing two lengths ahead of Round About Fame (Justin Turcotte). Sjs Nitelife (Mario Rivest) finished third.
The winner of six races in 24 seasonal starts is co-owned by MacLean and Shaun McDonald of Wallenstein, Ont. The Million Dollar Cam-Fit N Fast bay, a winner of 11 races lifetime and $309,943, is trained by France MacLean.
