Cohen Blasts New Jersey Pols
With a cleverly crafted editorial posted on nj.com, writer and horse owner Andrew Cohen asks New Jersey to give its head a shake and do something to prevent people like him from spending their harness racing budget on the racing product in other states
.
Referring to being in a relationship with New Jersey, Cohen writes: "If you don't get your act together, I swear I'll start dating New York or Pennsylvania or Delaware or Indiana. I swear I'll start sending my money there. It's not like I'm asking for much. I just want you to stop acting like an idiot and to find a way to merge Atlantic City's entrenched gaming interests with the rest of the state's entrenched horse-racing interests. It's not rocket science. There should be gaming at racetracks in New Jersey. Period."
Cohen's current stable stars include sophomore pacing filly McGibson and four-year-old speedster Share The Delight, who sees action in the four-year-old preferred on Saturday's Hambletonian card.
