Classicality Scores Handily At Meadows

Classicality wrested the early lead from Wind Of The North and had little trouble holding him off late in capturing Wednesday’s (Dec. 20) $18,000 Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.
Classicality had to go a :27 first quarter to get that early lead, but he had enough in the tank for Brian Zendt to thwart the first-over bid of Ladys Dude and widen in the lane. He downed Wind Of The North by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:53.2 while True Blue Stride rallied for show.
Lisa Dunn owns and trains Classicality, a seven-year-old Classic Photo-Penn Worthy Lane gelding who now boasts $529,492 in career earnings. It was one of three wins for Zendt on the 12-race card.
