‘Big M’s 10-Race Thursday Card Set

With virtually all other northeastern raceways out of action, the Meadowlands Racetrack will see an unusually deep entry box over the next few weeks, as evidenced by the ten overflow fields that have been drawn for the ‘Big M’s Thursday night (December 21) card.

Though the Thursday program was originally slated to consist of nine races, the number of horses entered, and the lack of options for them to get raced, resulted in the addition of a tenth race.

Featured on Thursday is the $12,500 final of the Starter Allowance ‘Race for the G-Notes’ for pacers (Race 6).

Esprit De Kayjay A shows nothing but wins in his past performance and will be the heavy favourite to sweep the series from Post 5 for driver Andy Miller. The competition is led by May I Cruise West (PP9, Brett Miller) and Walks Of Life (PP3, Eric Abbatiello), who each took a preliminary leg, as well.

The wagering attractions on Thursday are the Survivor Pick 10 with the guaranteed $10,000 pool. Also, the last-race Super Hi-5 Jackpot carryover pool continues to build and is now at $43,831.

Post time is 7:15 p.m.
