Argos, Grey Cup At Woodbine Friday
Woodbine Racetrack will host members of the Grey Cup champion Toronto Argonauts this Friday (December 15) to celebrate and honour the Argos' recent championship victory.
The Argonauts will be bringing the Grey Cup to Woodbine for this special evening of live Standardbred racing.
The Grey Cup champions will be dropping by the Standardbred paddock prior to the start of Friday’s card to visit and pose for photos with participants and staff. The Argonauts will then head over to the grandstand to enjoy dinner and live racing in the clubhouse.
The Argonauts will also be making an appearance in the winner’s circle to perform a special race presentation, while some members will have the opportunity to get up close with the racing by enjoying a ride in the starting car.
The Toronto Argonauts captured the 105th Grey Cup on November 26 in Ottawa at TD Place Stadium. The 'Double Blue' edged the Calgary Stampeders 27-24 in a thrilling contest to secure a record 17th Grey Cup.
