Live racing will return to the Meadowlands Racetrack on Thursday (December 14), as a nine-race offering is set to begin at 7:15 p.m.

The program features full fields, including two divisions of the popular GSY Driving Club races and a carryover of more than $35,000 in the last-race Jackpot Super Hi-5 wager.

The track’s racing secretary, Peter Koch, has taken a page from the Thoroughbred condition book and has written a short starter-allowance series. The second of two preliminary legs will be raced on Thursday, as 22 declarations has resulted in a pair of 11-horse fields. Returning winners Esprit De Kayjay A and May I Cruise West are among the entrants.

The Meadowlands will race live Thursday through Saturday for the balance of December with post time set for 7:15 p.m. each card.
