Tioga Downs Hotel Officially Open

This past Friday (December 1), the new hotel at Tioga Downs was officially unveiled during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Elected officials and members of the Tioga team cut the ceremonial ribbon.

"This is a real crowning achievement after so many obstacles were put in our place," said Tioga Downs CEO Jeff Gural.

Tioga Downs Casino Resort is 100 per cent smoke-free with 161 guestrooms and suite accommodations that overlook the beautiful rolling hills of the Southern Tier. The resort provides convenient inside access to the adjoining casino, which features 950 slot machines, 32 table games and a World Series of Poker-sanctioned poker room.

Along with tremendous harness racing live on track, the resort offers live entertainment, a spa, dining options, and 30,000 square feet of flexible event space to accommodate everything from corporate meetings to holiday parties and association conferences.

"I'm really proud of it, it's beautiful and hopefully we'll be able to accomplish our goal really, which is to make it a resort," Gural said.

Mr Gural,

You are a breath of fresh air in this industry. Not only are you building for the future, but the testing of horses has all on the same playing field! Hats off you. Have a great Christmas and New Year.

Cheers!

Congrats to the Tioga team, this will expose non-harness fans to the sport!

We should build one at Woodbine - wait, they are going to!

This would expose fans to harness racing... wait, we are going year-round at Mohawk.
