Tribute To Stafford At Woodstock
In his column in the Woodstock Sentinel-Review, Woodstock Raceway announcer Frank Salive has explained how city resident Nancy Stephens will be paying tribute to the late Victoria 'Tori' Stafford and supporting Child Find of Canada Saturday at the track
.
Stafford, who was tragically abducted April 8, 2009 and subsequently killed, was a resident of Woodstock.
"My friend Sarah and I will be the parade marshalls with retired race horses Tornado Travis and Jayport Victoria, and they'll be decked out in purple, Tori's favourite colour," Nancy was quoted as saying. "The day is also devoted to the cause of Child Find of Canada. We'll be handing out pamphlets and purple ribbons and donation boxes will be placed in a few grandstand locations."
The article also states that Tori's father, Rodney, will be present for the ceremony.
