COSA president Bill O’Donnell wishes to advise members that he will be hosting information sessions this weekend regarding the new agreement reached between WEG and COSA

.

The information sessions will be held Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2 in the Director’s Lounge at Mohawk Racetrack. There will be a session at 5:00p.m. and a second one at 6:00 p.m. each night. O’Donnell will be available to answer any questions and explain the contract to interested members.

Individuals wishing to join the new Association are asked to come a half hour earlier to fill out a membership application. Membership is free.

Proxies will be available for those members unable to attend the general meeting scheduled for Sunday, August 9 at 4:00 p.m. at the Campbellville Lion’s Hall.

O’Donnell was quoted on Thursday in the release on the agreement that “we at COSA believe that this contract provides stability, certainty and above all else, an opportunity for our members to prosper.“

The initial term of the agreement is for a period of five years, ensures a minimum of 235 race days per year and provides for the continuation of the currently existing financial arrangements.
