Dover Downs Opener Set
ABC Again and Explosive Jet, fresh from wins in their respective last starts, head the Opening Night feature as Dover Downs begins its 49th season on Monday (October 30). Post time is 4:30 p.m. Eastern.
A recent addition to the Josh Green barn, ABC Again, a winner of his last two starts since arriving from Indiana, will be driven by Ross Wolfenden from post one in the featured $14,000 conditioned trot. Denise Davis’ Explosive Jet has been razor sharp with a win preceded by a third and a second, and will be reined by Allan Davis for trainer Tyler Davis.
Iron Mine Branch’s Trust Fund Baby and Art Stafford, Jr. and a pair of two-time winners in their last three outings, Tate Lewis’ Summajestic, with Vic Kirby, and Moonshine Lavec, owned by Francisca Munoz and trainer Erika Paradee and driven by defending champion Corey Callahan, lead the opposition.
The rest of the eight-horse field is made up of Lou Catana’s The Muscle Touch, handled by Tony Morgan; Providence West’s Nefarious, trained and driven by Kim Vincent, and Nebraska Jack with Russell Foster driving for Eric Good and trainer Gary Simpson.
