Surrealist Sharp At Northside
On Saturday (September 16) at Northside Downs, Surrealist ($2.20) was hammered down to 10 cents on the dollar and didn’t disappoint. The 11-year-old Modern Art gelding went gate-to-wire in a sizzling 1:57.1 mile and hit the wire seven lengths the best.
The speedy performance came in Race 7, which was a conditioned event that carried a purse of $1,400.
Surrealist and pilot Ryan Campbell left from Post 4 and made every pole a winning one. They carved out the speed in :28, :58.2 and 1:27.3 and drew off in the final quarter.
Surrealist has been on quite a streak as of late, as the win was his fourth straight and the eighth in his last nine races.
Surrealist is the pride of New Waterford, Nova Scotia trainer Dana Getto, who also owns the bay.
