Terror At Night Triumphs In Harrington Open
Nanticoke Racing, Ed Maas III and Arlene Paisley's Terror At Night was a 1:53.3 winner in the $16,000 Mares Open Tuesday at Harrington Raceway.
There was a cavalry charge for the early lead, but when the dust settled, Terror At Night ($12.80, Allan Davis) was the early leader through an opening quarter mile in 27 seconds. The seven pacers marched to the half mile in 56.3 and three-quarters in 1:25.1. Terror At Night held off pocket sitting Matinee Dragon to the wire for a narrow win. Purrfect Bags was third.
Trained by Les Givens, it was the third win of the year for Terror At Night, a four-year-old Western Terror mare.
Gary Ewing's Sweet Bobbie ($8.20, Art Stafford, Jr.) won her second in a row on the undercard in a $10,000 pace for owner/trainer Gary Ewing.
Allan Davis won four races on the program. Jon Roberts had a driving triple.
