MacDonald Receives WDC Cheque
James MacDonald was presented with his cheque for winning the 2017 World Driving Championship on Saturday night at Mohawk Racetrack.
The 31-year-old MacDonald of Guelph, Ont. clinched the 2017 World Driving Championship and its $25,000 top prize on Friday, August 18 at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at Charlottetown Driving Park, Prince Edward Island.
Making the cheque presentation to MacDonald were Standardbred Canada directors Bill O'Donnell, Mark Horner and Bill McLinchey.
In addition to the $25,000, MacDonald automatically receives entry into the next World Driving Championship set for May 2019 in Sweden.
