True Blue Stride atoned for his miscue last week by blowing away an accomplished field in a career-best 1:53.1 in Wednesday’s (August 30) $15,000 Winners Over $10,000 Life Handicap Trot at The Meadows.

True Blue Stride made his Meadows debut on August 23 after logging impressive performances at Harrah’s Philadelphia, Mohawk and The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono, but he broke stride as the even-money favourite. On Wednesday, he made a similar backside move for Dave Palone and kept rolling, defeating Dont Rush by 7-3/4 lengths. Classic Banker rallied for show.

Ron Burke trains True Blue Stride, a five-year-old Muscle Hill-Sabrina Hall gelding who extended his lifetime bankroll to $111,656 for the Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi, LLC.

Jim Pantaleano piloted three winners on the 12-race card.

Live racing at The Meadows resumes Saturday (September 2), when the program features eight Pennsylvania Stallion Series championships, each with a purse of $40,000. First post is 1:05 p.m. Eastern.
