Garden Fundraiser For Autism PEI
The award winning garden of Norman and Phyllis Hall will be open to visitors during the World Trotting Conference on the afternoons of August 15-17.
Chosen as best flower garden in last year’s Communities In Bloom contest, the garden at 132 Upper Prince Street will be in full bloom again for the general public to enjoy. Autism PEI will be the beneficiary of any free-will donations at the garden gate. The gardens will be open each day from 2:00-6:00 pm. The general public and especially those in the racing community and supporters of Autism PEI are welcome to visit and meet with our Standardbred racing friends from away.
Norman Hall is a long time member of the Island horse racing community and supporter of Autism PEI. “ It is nice to be able to share our garden with the WTC delegates and their partners from around the world and at the same time give them a chance to meet and mingle with Islanders as well as provide much needed financial support for the growing number of children afflicted with Autism spectrum disorders.” stated Hall.
Natalie Walsh, Executive Director for Autism PEI, noted “The idea of a garden party fundraiser is a lovely idea and we are pleased to be part of it – it sounds like fun.”
Donations to Autism PEI can also be made online through Canada Helps on the website at http://www.autismsociety.pe.ca/ and an online capability will be provided in the garden each day.
