Jdcyril Wires Foes In Barrieau-McIsaac
It was a ‘go to the front and don’t look approach’ for Jdcyril in Monday afternoon’s $11,155 Barrieau-McIsaac at Exhibition Park Raceway, and the tactics paid off handsomely for the gelding.
Jdcyril was put on the lead right from the word ‘go’ by driver Gilles Barrieau, and together they led the field through panels of :28.3, :59.4 and 1:29.1 before scooting home in :30.4 to win by three-quarters of a length over race favourite Nameisonthehalter. Taking home third prize was Cowboys Dont Cry.
Kevin MacLean trains the three-year-old son of Carlspur-Bolero Tam Tam for Reg MacPherson, David MacKenzie and Aaron MacKenzie. The victory helped the pacer improve this year’s record to 3-1-0 from five starts. His lifetime earnings climbed to $8,562 with the win.
