Two AM Triumphs In Townsend Ackerman
A two-hole trip was parlayed into a 1:52.2 score by Two AM in his $50,000 division of the Townsend Ackerman for three-year-old trotting colts and geldings.
Race favourite Yes Mickey shot to the lead from Post 2 for Ake Svanstedt, and Tyler Buter scooted through from Post 1 to gain the pocket spot with Two AM. Yes Mickey led the group through panels of :27.2 and :55 before being pulled on by Two AM. Those two went tooth and nail to the three-quarter pole in 1:23 before Two AM edged away from the public’s top choice in deep stretch. Two AM cruised to the comfortable score over Yes Mickey, with third prize going to Fly On.
Todd Buter trains the son of Muscle Massive-Slightly Tipsy for Lynette Buter, Gene Oldford Farms LLC, William Fuhs and Carol Fuhs. After a 4-for-6 rookie campaign, Two AM is now 4-for-5 this season. The $25,000 payday boosted the trotter’s earnings to $116,381.
