Standing Ovation At Odysseo Premiere
Odysseo by Cavalia has officially returned to the Greater Toronto Area with its debut run in Mississauga, Ont., which premiered on Wednesday evening (June 21).
Under the gleaming White Big Top next to Hershey Centre, spectators of all ages were amazed by the unique blend of equestrian and performing arts, and mesmerized by state-of-the-art special effects.
Sharing the magnificent stage with 50 riders, acrobats, aerialists, and musicians, the 65 majestic horses stole the spotlight during this unique theatrical extravaganza, which ended with rapturous applause and a standing ovation.
For the special occasion, 1,000 newcomers who have been calling Ontario their new home attended the opening performance in Mississauga.
Cavalia partnered with Mississauga Councilor Carolyn Parrish, Paramount Fine Foods CEO & Founder Mohamad Fakih, volunteer Betsy Aziz, Malton Neighbourhood Services and Ryerson University Lifeline Syria Challenge, amongst many others, to extend this special invitation to several newcomer families to share its unique theatrical production featuring artists from all backgrounds, religions, and ethnicities.
