Trainer Receives Death Threat

According to a report, a prominent trainer of standardbreds has gone on the record as saying that he

has received a death threat.

The Herald Sun has reported that down under trainer Alan Donohoe received a death threat. According to the article, one of Donohoe's Queensland-based owners also received a pair of death threats.

Donohoe was the key figure in Australasian racing's first EPO-related stewards' inquiry. He has been suspended six years do the the EPO-related offences.

"After media coverage of the last time we were here (June 17) I received a death threat and went to Bendigo police station to report it," Donohoe was quoted as saying.

"One of my owners based in Queensland also told me he received two death threats and reported them to Mt Gravatt police station."
