Greg Blanchard's Fantasy Stable
Who would harness racing's sharpest minds select in the 2017 Trot Magazine Fantasy Stable? Trot Insider will feature 'expert picks' in advance of Friday's entry deadline.
Director of Racing for The Raceway at Western Fair District, Greg Blanchard has offered his picks for the 2017 Fantasy Stable. Blanchard has tabbed Luc Blais as his best bet from the Trainers 1 group.
"Luc's stable has risen to prominence in recent years and he is coming off his best year ever in terms of earnings. His owners were active at the Fall sales and I expect him to have another impressive group of rookies to go along with a strong roster of returning horses."
Fronted by O'Brien Award finalist Emoticon Hanover, Luc Blais posted a career best $2.01 million in stable earnings in 2016, a huge jump from his previous peak of $1.2 milllon.
