Four out of the five rounds of Hanover Raceway's Trot Canada National Handicapping Contest qualifying tournament is now completed and contestants are more

excited than ever.

All five of this week’s leaders are consistently strong competitors and it is looking to be a very close race right up until the end.

For a second week in a row, Merry Francis of Hanover, Ont. is holding onto the top spot with 128 points. Following closely behind her is Don Richards of Tara, Ont. with 115.90 points and Merv Rooney of Arthur, Ont. with 114.60 points. John Dametto of Guelph, Ont. moves up one position this week to fourth with 108 points. Rounding out the top five is Ben Minutillo of Stratford, Ont. with 106 points.

The final night of the contest is Wednesday, July 29 when the top five finishers will earn prizes, and the winner will advance to the $25,000 final of the TCNHC.
