Near Track Record At Pocono In PASS

David Miller-driven Broadway Paige produced a new lifetime mark and just missed equaling the track record in winning the fourth and final division of the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes for three-year-old trotting fillies Tuesday, July 21 at Pocono Downs.

Trained by Brian Roland, Broadway Paige stopped the timer in 1:54.4, just one fifth of equaling Saorse's track record.

Miller also won another $60,629 PASS division with three-year-old filly All Star Hanover, which overcame Post 7 for trainer Joe Holloway.

Eagle Score (driven by Andy Miller) captured the opening division with a time of 1:56. Pleasing Lady, with driver Michel Lachance in tow, won another of the sire stakes divisions in 1:56.

“I left hard with her (Pleasing Lady),” said Lachance. “I was a little concerned at the end of the race because she’s usually not strong. But she responded well and is a good-mannered filly.”
