Thestable.ca's ‘Spring Showcase’ Details

It's that time of year again. The flowers are in bloom, birds are singing, and the Class of 2016 / 2017 is edging closer to graduation day: the qualifiers.

So thestable.ca wants to give you an inside, sneak peak at its two-year-olds in training during its first ever ‘Spring Showcase.’

Come out to the Tomiko Training Centre on Mother's Day, May 14, and watch as 50 youngsters of thestable.ca and other trainers, show what they've got as potential racehorses.

Thestable.ca will have pony rides for the kids, rides on a jog cart with actual horses for the aspiring drivers in the crowd, and a BBQ for everyone. The first 30 moms will get a special gift and there will be plenty of door prizes.

The showcase will feature live expert commentary, driver and client interviews, large training sets and a fun, behind-the-scenes look at the entire operation of thestable.ca. All of the action will be streamed live world-wide starting at 10:30 a.m.

Please RSVP here.

For those of you who have always wanted to get off the sidelines and become involved in the exciting game of horse racing, thestable.ca has just the right horse for you at a price you can afford. And the Spring Showcase is the perfect place to check out the babies on offer. See thestable.ca’s investment booklet here.

You can take your pick of many available shares in two-year-old pacers and trotters in training for as little as $190 per share.

Thestable.ca is the brainchild of Anthony and Amy MacDonald, a husband and wife training team that created the innovative fractional ownership program in 2015 to throw open the door to racehorse ownership for less than the cost of a movie and popcorn.

As part of its full ownership program, thestable.ca offers weekly drone videos of your horse in training, frequent video updates from the trainers, transparent billing and full access to the barn. Owners are encouraged to come out, feed their horses and personally watch them train down for the races.

At a time when most racing outfits are struggling, thestable.ca has grown to 243 clients worldwide in just its second year.

More than 70 per cent of this year's crop of thestable.ca's babies are sold out, but there are still shares available in many promising two-year-olds and even shares in sold out horses are often found on offer by other owners on thestable.ca's website listing page called ‘the Market.’

The Market page will also be featuring a Wanted section for owners looking to purchase shares in certain, already-sold-out two-year-olds.

It goes without saying that interest in thestable.ca's fractional sales program is tangible proof horse racing is still very much alive after several challenging years.

"We've shown that investment is easily attainable when your clients are treated well, and made to feel welcome," Anthony said. "What we are building has spread across this entire industry, and we are just getting started."

Thestable.ca gets calls and emails regularly from people in many different locations whose training programs have fallen on tough financial times. But thestable.ca's sales model proves that regardless of the jurisdiction, the appetite for horse ownership is still very much alive.

"We have also built a platform for hard working horsemen and women who cannot connect well with investors in the way they need to in a 21st century marketplace, and a way for breeders to ensure fair market value for their horses," Anthony said.

Just as importantly, thestable.ca has created a model that will attract more and more people to live racing events through affordable ownership.

"The possibility of new clients for other area trainers and racetracks through a trickle down effect from programs like this are undeniable," he added.

New ways to market the industry and re-brand it will be possible because of these programs, Anthony said.

"By focusing on the horses, and the people, and the stories that come with them, our industry will inevitably begin to make its way back into the hearts and minds of the everyday man and women," he said. Right where it all began.

"What our clients have helped my wife Amy and I do, isn't just to build a business, but begin to help rebuild our industry, and bring hope to people that needed a vision of a clear path forward.

“Not through a governmental pipe dream, but through something they can see being built," Anthony said.

Come out on Mother's Day, have fun, eat some food, watch the exciting training miles, and be a part of history.

Please RSVP above and we will see you all at the Spring Showcase on May 14, at the Tomiko Training Centre, 210 Campbellville Rd.
