Two-Year Winless Drought Snapped
Ricky Still posted three wins on the Wednesday night (April 12) card at Rosecroft Raceway, including ending a two-year drought for Kounty Blues, which has further escalated the great story Still has been in his return to Rosecroft's driving colony after eight years away.
Trainer Phillip Jasper continues to have a strong meet at the track. He recorded a double on Wednesday, thus giving his barn eight wins on the meet to lead the Rosecroft conditioner standings. Kerry Welty's Swan Anna Miss picked up the seventh win of the meet for her mom Judy's barn, as Russell Foster guided her to a win in 1:57.4.
While favourites dominated, winning nine of 12 races, Jasper's Sanfransuzanne scored at 25-1 for Frank Milby. The longshot of the night belonged to driver Joseph Fellows who rallied four wide on the final turn from last with CHF Shooting Star at 62-1 for Eugene Landy and trainer Jim Porter.
Brian Burton and Foster had two wins on the card.
Rosecroft will race Saturday at 6:40 p.m., leaving Easter Sunday dark for live racing.
