Out Of Competition Forum Rescheduled

The Ohio State Racing Commission’s open forum on out of competition testing has been rescheduled from April 5 to April 24 at 10 a.m., at the Riffe Center, 77 S. High St., Room 1960.

The meeting is open to all pari-mutuel stakeholders, horsemen’s associations and the public, and will take place immediately after the OSRC’s monthly meeting agenda has been transacted.

“Out of competition testing needs to be studied and strategically developed in Ohio, and we’re looking for input from everyone,” said OSRC Chairman Robert Schmitz.

On March 27, the OSRC hosted an open meeting to discuss Advance Deposit Wagering licensing and regulation in Ohio, with representatives from horsemen’s organizations and Ohio’s seven racetracks attending.

“We hope to generate ideas that will continue to elevate Ohio’s racing program to even greater heights,” Chairman Schmitz added.

The OSRC asks that anyone wishing to speak at the April 24 meeting to send their comments in advance to OSRC Executive Director Bill Crawford.
