Jagersro continued her undefeated Western Fair win streak for local horseman Dennis Morrissey on Friday night (March 31), leading wire-to-wire over a 'sloppy' surface.

Driven by Scott Coulter on this occasion, Jagersro took the lead from post two in the opening $8,000 conditioned trot and pocketed 39-1 longshot Johnny Ridge (Anthony Hamlin) past the :29.2 first quarter mark. She then carved out middle splits of :59 and 1:29.4 before trotting off to win by six and a half lengths in 2:01.1. Shes All Magic (Robert Shepherd) matched strides with pocket-pursuer Johnny Ridge to finish in a dead-heat for second-place.

Sent postward as the overwhelming 1-5 favourite, Jagersro returned just $2.30 to win.

The four-year-old Johnny William mare's six-race win streak has boosted her total annual and lifetime win count to seven.

Later on the card in the fourth race, seven-year-old trotting mare J Js Jewel ($9) brought 82-year-old driver Ron Topping back to the winner's circle for the second time this year after moving out of the pocket down the backstretch and prevailing in a three-across finish in 2:07.1. Prior to J Js Jewel's pair of victories, Topping's last win as a trainer and driver was recorded in 2010.
