Jagersro Is Loving London
Since joining the Dennis Morrissey stable late last month, Jagersro has taken a liking to her new home track in London, Ont., winning five straight races at The Raceway at the Western Fair District.
The four-year-old Johnny William-Mona Simoni mare streaked to her fifth win in a row on Friday night (March 24), overcoming her outside starting spot and leading wire-to-wire in the $8,000 eighth race with Travis Henry aboard. She rebuffed a backstretch challenge from the slightly favoured Life Strikes (Paul MacKenzie) to win by one and three-quarter lengths in a new lifetime mark of 1:59.2. Lisa On Top (Bob McClure) rounded out the top-three order, finishing eight lengths behind.
A six-time career winner, Jagersro has earned all of her victories this year while making 10 starts. She has banked $55,440 starting in 41 races lifetime.
Now five-for-five at The Raceway, she was also a winner over Flamboro Downs earlier in 2017.
