Post Time Changes At Summerside

Harness Racing PEI has announced there will be a change in the post time for the Monday and Tuesday night programs during Lobster Carnival Week at Summerside Raceway

.

The post time has been changed from 6:00 p.m. to 5:30. p.m. in order to assure that the race program can be completed before darkness sets in. The new lighting system for the track won’t be ready until later this month.

 Lobster Carnival Week racing at Summerside gets under way Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. with a 12-dash card featuring the first elimination for the Governor’s Plate and the first elimination of the Lobster Carnival Week Open Mares Series.

The Monday night card will feature the second elimination heat of the Governor’s Plate as well as the second elimination of the open mares event.

Tuesday night’s program features Atlantic Sires Stakes for two and three-year-old trotters.

Lee Drake, director of marketing and promotion for Harness Racing PEI, said details about the post times for the other Lobster Carnival Week programs would be released when a decision has been made.
