Trot Insider has learned that longtime racing fan, owner and trainer Vernon L. Williams of Deloraine, MB passed away on September 16, 2015 at the age of 92.
Vern loved his horses right up to his last years as he purchased a harness horse in 2013, Honeybadger, who raced in Alberta until this year when Kevin Hildebrandt raced her on the Manitoba racing circuit.
Family and friends will celebrate his life on Saturday, September 26 at 2:00 p.m. in Deloraine at the Harvest Church (at the corner of Renton Ave. and Mountain St.).
