The Loop in Winnipeg, Man. has been forced to cancel its card of harness racing slated for Saturday, Aug. 12 due to unsafe track conditions.
"Due to extreme rainfall over the last 24 hours, we have no choice but to cancel racing today," said Garth Rogerson of the Red River Ex. "Under new LGCA rules, we are not allowed to postpone our post time or move races to tomorrow so our choices are limited, forcing us to lose a race day."
Racing is slated to resume at The Loop on Saturday, Aug. 19.
