The Empire State Harness Horsemen's Alliance held its second successful video conference on Thursday, July 23, 2009.
The difficult issue of Workers’ Compensation in New York State was a priority item on the agenda. Issues common to all the horsemen’s groups, such as safety, protocol and marketing, were also addressed. Pending issues with the New York State Racing & Wagering Board were also identified.
Attending the video Conference were: George Casale, Exec. Director, Standardbred Owners Association of New York; George Karam, President, Saratoga Harness Horsepersons Association; Rick Papa, President, Harness Horse Association of Central New York, and Bruce Tubin, Administrative Director, Western New York Harness Horsemen’s Association.
The Alliance intends to meet monthly.
