The top three-year-old colts from around the Maritimes will line up behind the starting gate at Red Shores’ Summerside Raceway on Friday night. The track will play host to three 'A' divisions of the Atlantic Sires Stakes.

The first division will head to post for Race 4. First-race post time is 7 p.m.

The first division will have five noses up on the wings. J J Laser has drawn the rail for Summerside's leading driver, Marc Campbell. Owned by Reg MacPherson of Stratford and trained by Kevin MacLean, the son of Ameripan Gigolo is the 5-2 morning line favourite.

Tobins Fusion is the richest pacer in the field and has drawn the outside Post 5 for owners Boyd MacDonald, Dan Ross and Charles Seymour. The winner of $33,939 in lifetime purse earnings will host his trainer, Gilles Barrieau, in the bike. J Ps Warrior (3-1), Super S Yzerman (4-1) and Woodmere Rondevous (6-1) round out the field.

Three-year-old gelding Dumas Walker will contest Race 8. The gelded son of Western Success - Im A Realist has drawn Post 1 for co-owner, trainer and driver Myles Heffernan. Jackie Heffernan co-owns.

Arties Magic, who will start from Post 2, is carrying a three-race win streak into Race 8. He previously notched a 1:57.3 victory in the Maritime Breeders final. Todd Trites will drive for trainer Earl Watts and owners Windemere Farms and Clive Balderson. Hollywood Gigolo, who has drawn Post 3, will be driven by Brodie MacPhee for the first time. The power-packed lineup includes Pictonian Storm (to be driven by Mike Stevenson), Rancousy (Darren Crowe) and Rebelseven (Campbell).

The 2013 Island Breeders champion, Settlement Request, will look to get back on track after a sub-par start to the 2014 racing season in the final 'A’ division. He has drawn Post 5 for owners Alfred Barrieau and Michael Clinton. Gilles Barrieau does the training and driving. Just A Professor has been installed as the 5-2 morning line favourite for owners Creston Gillis, Michael Clarey and John Clarey. John does the training and they will call on Stevenson to handle the driving duties. Elm Grove Intrepid, Touch Of Thunder, Wine To Go and Mr Vaive will also compete for the $9,420 purse.

Friday's card will also feature three 'B' divisions, starting in Race 2. Each division carries a purse of $2,500.

The free-legged Barrett Jackson will look to extend his win streak to three races when he takes his Post 7 position behind the gate during the Friday night finale. 'Barrett' is coming in off of back to back scores of 1:57 and 1:57.2, respectively, for owner Neal Moase. Jonah Moase, who supports a sparkling .404 UTR, handles the training duties while youngster Dale Spence gets the drive.

Frill Seeker is a newcomer to the Kenny Arsenault stable. The six-year-old Angus Hall - Yankee Frilly gelding will make his first start on red soil in the Race 3 trot. Arsenault will also do the driving.
