The 2016 season of live harness racing at Plainridge Park will get underway today (Monday, April 11). The opening-day program will be the first of 115 cards of live racing that the track will conduct this season, in a meet that will last until November 29.
Plainridge Park also welcomes patrons the opportunity to step into the ‘winner’s circle’ for a chance to win some fabulous prizes that include trips to Las Vegas, cruises and other racing-themed merchandise. For more information, head to thewinnerscircleusa.com.
During the month of April, Plainridge will race on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (first-race post time will be 4:00 p.m.). The opening-day card will feature an umbrella giveaway that will start at 3 p.m. Umbrellas will be available in the first floor of the racing complex (while supplies last).
On Saturday, April 23, Plainridge will host another of its monthly ‘Horsin’ Around’ comedy shows with Mike Petit. For the April show, Petit will be joined by noted locals Steve Gould and Patrick Collins.
