ORC Announces Changes To Triactor, Superfecta Wagering

The Ontario Racing Commission today released a notice to the industry regarding changes made to triactor and superfecta wagering

The notice states that the ORC Board has approved new directives dealing with triactor and superfecta wagering, reducing the number of betting interests required for the featured bet types to be permitted.

For triactor wagering, the required number of separate betting interests has been reduced from six to five. For superfecta wagering, the required number of separate betting interests has been reduced from eight to seven for all races other than stakes races. No change was made to the number required for stakes races, as the required number remains seven.

The following Directives were issued and should be referenced:

  • General Directive 2 – 2009, Superfecta Wagering
  • General Directive 3 – 2009, Triactor Wagering

The release states that the changes will bring Ontario more in line with other jurisdictions, and indicates that the change will benefit the simulcast market for Ontario the product.
