It has been announced that the 2012 harness racing season at Plainridge Raceway will get underway on April 23 and will continue through December 7
.
Live racing will be conducted three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) with just two exceptions.
The only changes to the schedule will be during the week of U.S. Thanksgiving, when the Massachusetts track will be dark on the Thursday and race on the Friday; and the final week of Plainridge's season, when racing will take place on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Cards of live racing at Plainridge will have a 4:00 p.m. first-race post time from opening day until the end of August. Starting in September, the track will switch to a 1:00 p.m. first-race post time for the balance of the meeting.
