Thursday night racing at the Meadowlands Racetrack will feature leg two of the popular ‘Race For The G-Notes’ overnight series for claiming pacers and conditioned trotters.
Pacers will open the card with the first of three division of the ‘G-Notes.’ Returning Leg One winner Mr Big Load is the morning line choice in the first division; Whatagamble will look to defend his opening-leg win as the choice in the ninth race; while the other winner, May Day, will not contest Leg Two. The 10 most successful horses through legs one and two will return for the $12,500 final next Thursday.
All three of the trotting winners, Bad Day Black Rock, Montalbano Bi and Stonebridge Idol are back in and drew into separate divisions. That only heightens the anticipation for the inevitable clash in the $15,000 final one week hence.
Promotionally, double Players Club points are awarded for wagers on the live races and it's Senior's Day where you can munch on dollar dogs and donuts while washing those down with a delicious dollar coffee.
The Meadowlands has free program pages for the $40K guaranteed Late Pick 4 along with race reviews and other handicapping aids.
The fun will begin at 7:15 p.m.
