All racehorses are required to have a microchip to race in North America in 2022.
If your horse does not have a microchip, you will not be able to ENTER to race for 2022. We are in the final stretch of this project and if you still have horses without microchips, you must act now.
This is a final notice. A list of horses (alphabetical) that have last participated in Canada since November 1, 2021 and do not have a microchip is available here. There is also a list sorted by the racetrack where the horse last participated and a list sorted by trainer. If your horse is on the list or you have other horses in your barn that you are planning to qualify and are not yet microchipped, you will be asked to bring your horse to the racetrack to get microchipped.
Microchipping at racetracks is scheduled as follows:
• December 12 – Rideau Carleton Raceway (during the qualifiers)
• December 13 - Charlottetown Driving Park (10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Weather Permitted)
• December 16 – The Raceway at the Western Fair District (10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.)
• December 17 – Woodbine Mohawk Park (8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.)
• December 18 – Flamboro Downs (3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.) Please bring your horses to the shipping barn row F.
If you are planning to bring your horses to any of the scheduled dates above, we ask you to please call the technician in advance and follow all COVID-19 procedures and vaccination policies of the racetrack.

If you have any racehorses that are outside of Ontario and Prince Edward Island that need microchipping, please contact Linda Bedard via email [email protected] or by phone 905-858-3060 ext. 238.
After the December microchipping racetrack visits, if there are still horses requiring microchipping in the regions where the technicians have been and/or the trainer has failed to contact the technician or refused to have the horse microchipped, the owner of the horse will be charged an additional $100 for the visit plus mileage (from the technician's home) or the trainer will be asked to bring the horse to the technician.

Si votre cheval n'a pas de micropuce, vous ne pourrez pas l’INSCRIRE pour courser en 2022. Nous sommes dans le dernier droit de ce projet et si vous avez encore des chevaux sans micropuce, vous devez agir maintenant.
Ceci est un avis final, une liste des chevaux qui ont participé au Canada depuis le 1er novembre 2021 et qui n'ont pas encore de micropuce est jointe ci-dessous. La liste peut être consultée par le nom de l'hippodrome où le cheval a participé à son dernier départ, par nom d'entraîneur ou par ordre alphabétique. Si votre cheval est sur la liste ou si vous avez d'autres chevaux dans votre écurie que vous envisagez qualifier et qui ne sont pas encore micropucés, il vous sera demandé d'amener votre cheval à l'hippodrome pour qu'il soit micropucé.
Les techniciens en identification seront aux hippodromes aux dates suivantes:

Si vous avez des chevaux de course nécessitant une micropuce à l'extérieur de l'Ontario et l'Îles du Prince Édouard, veuillez contacter Linda Bédard par courriel [email protected] ou par téléphone (905) 858-3060 poste 238.
Après ces visites aux hippodromes, s'il y a encore des chevaux nécessitant une micropuce dans les régions où les techniciens ont été et/ou l'entraîneur n'a pas contacté le technicien ou a refusé de faire micropucer le cheval, le propriétaire du cheval sera facturé un frais supplément de 100,00 $ pour la visite plus le kilométrage (du domicile du technicien) ou l'entraîneur sera invité à apporter le cheval au technicien.
