Fundraiser For Ariel

An online fundraising page has been established for a young girl by the name of Ariel. The daughter of Standardbred racehorse owner Colin ‘Ace’ Densley Burrows is about to commence the next stage of her battle with Scoliosis.

Ariel, who is a resident of St. Catharines, will turn 12 on December 22. She is currently on a cancellation list for a crucial surgery, which is expected to be the first of four different operations. She will requite four to six weeks of traction after the first surgery. After all of her operations are performed, it is expected that she will be in hospital in Toronto for roughly four to six months.

The posting on a GoFundMe account that has been set up states that “Ariel’s parents Colin and Denise (who have a total of seven children) will be travelling from St. Catharines to Toronto. Denise will be staying up there with her because someone needs to be up there with her at all times. Colin will be travelling back and forth as only one parent is allowed to stay up there at a time. Denise has been informed that she might only be able to sit at [the bedside] and my not have a bed or a cot to sleep on… As everyone knows parking and fuel is very expensive. Every little bit (donation) will help.”
