Courant Inc, SRF Stable, and Diamond Creek Farm are pleased to announce that Gimpanzee will be syndicated this fall with limited shares available. He will continue to stand stud at Diamond Creek of Kentucky in 2024 for a stud fee of $20,000.

Gimpanzee was purchased at Harrisburg in 2017 by Anders Ström of Courant Inc.  One of only three trotters to win Breeders Crown titles at ages two, three and four, Gimpanzee retired to stud as a worldchampion with 25 wins in 34 starts, a mark of 1:50 and earnings in excess of $2.7 million.

Gimpanzee was bred by Order By Stables and is a Chapter Seven stallion out of the Muscle Massive mare, Steamy Windows. His full sister, Iteration (1:53.1, $780,818), was a multiple Grand Circuit stakes winner. Gimpanzee's maternal family includes Mets Hall (1:51.2, $1.34 million) and the dam of Muscle Hill, Yankee Blondie. Gimpanzee's yearling siblings have sold at auction for $250,000, $450,000, $500,000 and $750,000.

Gimpanzee's first yearlings sold at the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale this October, where he was the leading overall sire for average sale price with 21 yearlings selling for an average of $168,238.  Hip 48, Kadena, consigned by Hunterton Farm - a Gimpanzee filly out of Mission Brief, was hammered down for $800,000. This matched the sales record for most expensive trotting filly yearling of all-time.  His yearlings received rave reviews in Lexington and are headed to top trainers including Ake Svanstedt, Carter Pinske, John Butenschoen, Lucas Wallin, Marcus Melander, Nifty Norman, Noel Daley, Chris Beaver and Trond Smedshammer.  Gimpanzee is represented by seven yearlings in the upcoming Standardbred Horse Sale in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. These include hip 103, Voguish, a half-sister to Dan Patch/O'Brien award winner Venerable (1:52, $1.34 million), out of world champion, Jolene Jolene (1:52.1, $239,637).

“On the back of the successful sales this fall, Lennart and I are very happy to seal the deal for the future of Gimpanzee with Diamond Creek,” said Anders Ström. “The addition of European income and the extended book will yield dividends to shareholders in a top-class stallion. Previous loyal breeders will be given top priority. We also want to thank Robert Lindström for his work making this happen and are grateful that he will continue working with the stallion on the European market.”

Gimpanzee bred 118 mares in 2023, his largest book to date.  With careful management and support from the breeders his book has been able to increase yearly.
