Stage Set For Buckeye Stallion Finals

The Buckeye Stallion Series Championships will be contested Saturday night at Hollywood Dayton Raceway as part of their Grand Circuit Racing Program. Each of the eight divisions carries a purse of $60,000.

In the two-year-old events the top fillies and colts in their respective divisions will be going to the post. The two-year-old filly trot is led by Charming Nancy by Uncle Peter who has won four of six this season while taking a mark of 1:58.2. She will be driven by Aaron Merriman for trainer Chris Beaver.

The two-year-old colt trotting leader is Dontforgetlittlman who will be handled by Dan Noble for Deborah Swartz. The Dontyouforgetit trotter has won five of ten this year with a mark of 1:58.2.

On the pacing side the two-year-old filly pacer Smothastenesewisky, has won seven of eight with a best time of 1:53.2, leads the field. The Nob Hill High filly will be driven by Chris Page for Brian Haynes.

The top two-year-old colt pacer is Twig who has won six of seven while taking a mark of 1:53.3. The colt will be driven by Page for Mike Polhamus and is a son of Mr Apples.

The three-year-old filly pace will be missing the top performer Narina Hanover who was not entered. The second place point earner is Corner Pocket with Page for Timothy Grubb. This season she has three of ten with a mark of 1:53.2.

On the colt side of the ledger is Snowmoon with Tyler Smith for Jessica Smith. Snowmoon has won eight of sixteen with a mark of 1:51.2.

The three-year-old filly trot division is led by Susie D and Lightning Belle. Susie D is from the Bryan Weaver stable and will be driven by Ken Holliday. This season she has won eight of thirteen with a best time of 1:55.3. Lightning Belle with Ryan Stahl for Scott Cox and has won seven of fifteen with a record of 1:56.

The three-year-old colt trot is headed by Exhibit Class with Dexter Dunn is trained by Sean Smithpeters and has won four of sixteen, with a best time of 1:56.1.

First race post time Saturday night at Hollywood Dayton Raceway is set for 6:15 p.m.
