Roger Lovett Passes

Horseman Roger E. Lovett, 69, of Jeffersonville, Ohio, passed away on January 7 at his residence.

Lovett was born August 10, 1945, in West Lancaster to the late Herbert and Grace Eavers Lovett. He was married to Nancy Ringer Lovett.

Roger had worked as a blacksmith and Standardbred driver/trainer and was a member of the Jeffersonville Church of Christ, Jeffersonville Lodge 468 F.& A.M., Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association, Fayette County Harness Horsemen’s Association and the United States Trotting Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Roger (Stacy), Tim (Heather) and Mark (Tami); brothers, Dwight ‘Herb,’ Dale ‘Pete’ (Joanne) and Tom (Linda); sister, Donna (Butch) Molloy; and grandchildren, Austin, Dylan, Cassidy, Gracie, Brennan, Marissa and Alexandria.

The funeral service will be held on Monday (January 12) at 11 a.m. at the Morrow Funeral Home in Jeffersonville with Jon Mercer officiating. Burial will follow in Koontz Cemetery. Friends may call at the Morrow Funeral Home on Sunday (January 11) from 2-4 and 5-7 p.m. Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m.
