Eagle Luck To Kendal Hills

Campbellcroft, Ontario's Kendal Hills Stud Farm has announced that millionaire Eagle Luck p,2,1:54s, 3,1:50f, 1:48.3-1:51.1h ($1,159,774) will be standing

stud at its nursery for the 2010 breeding season.

The son of Camluck--Duncans Artsplace raced throughout his career for trainer Gregg McNair and owner Frank Dettore Horse Racing of Ohio.

His accomplishments were many. Eagle Luck recorded wins in the $250,000 Molson Pace (1:51.1h) at Western Fair Raceway, an $85,000 leg of the Classic Series in a career-best 1:48.3 at the Meadowlands Racetrack, a $135,002 division of the Simcoe Stakes at Mohawk Racetrack, the $154,500 Clearwater Cup at Hiawatha Horse Park, and a Confederation Cup elimination at Flamboro Downs. He also finished second in his Ontario Sires Stakes Super Final at age three.

"I picked him out as yearling because he was a very 'breedy' looking horse and he was mature," McNair said. "Almost from the time he started racing he wore a 60-inch hopple. [He's a] great-gaited horse, and to see that, just watch the replay of the Molson Pace win at London in 1:51.1. [He was] good on all size tracks.

"He really enjoyed racing and beat almost every horse he ever met. Ultra consistent, too."

A son of Camluck from the Artsplace mare Duncans Artsplace p,4,1:52.3 ($233,317), Eagle Luck is a three-quarter brother to the ill-fated mare Alexis Hall p,3,1:50.3 ($314,085).

A service fee of $2,500 with a multiple-mare discount will apply.
