Edward ‘Fuzzy’ Morgan Passes

Standardbred horseman Edward ‘Fuzzy’ Morgan, 74, passed away on Sunday, January 13 at the Oneida Center in Utica, N.Y.

Morgan was born on August 25, 1944 in Utica to the late Ralph W. and Marjorie Boland Morgan and was a graduate of Sauquoit Valley Central School.

He proudly served his country during the Vietnam conflict with the U.S. Army and was self-employed as a contractor.

He raced Standardbreds at Vernon Downs for many years.

He is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Mark) Rogan; son, Ryan; granddaughter, Naomi; and cousin, Al. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Nancy Griffiths and Donna.

Funeral services will take place on Friday (Jan. 18) at 10 a.m. at Three Steeples Church, 2817 Old State Rt. 12, Paris. Calling hours will be Thursday (Jan. 17) from 5-7 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, 3022 Oneida St. Sauquoit.
