A pair of Preferred events highlighted Georgian Downs' 12-race card on Saturday night with JTLady Strong and Taylorlane Action taking home the lion's share of the $13,000 purses in their respective divisions.

JTLady Strong and driver Norm Jones used off-the-pace tactics to win by half a length in the Fillies & Mares Preferred 2 Trot. At the :59.3 half, the four-year-old Angus Hall mare tipped out from fourth and advanced on the pacesetter Enlighten Me (Steve Byron). The post time favourite reached the wire first in 1:58.3. Ziggy Wiggy (Kelly Sheppard) nabbed the show spot.

Jones trains and co-owns the 10-time winner with Elgin Strong of Oakville and John Toma of Mississauga, Ont. Her career earnings now total $248,025.

In the Fillies & Mares Preferred 2 Pace, Taylorlane Action (Anthony MacDonald) found the front at the half in :56.3 after Whos Legacy (Aaron Byron) posted the opening panel. The Marty Fine trainee posted the remaining fractions, coasting home in 1:54.4 by two lengths.

Whos Legacy stayed for second and Hammers Taylrs Toy (Anthony Kerwood) finished third.

Owned by Onlineharnessowner Com 17 of Uxbridge, Ont., the seven-year-old Village Jiffy mare picked up her 29th win and lifted her career earnings to $529,698.
