On Saturday, June 28, former horseman Clarence O'Neill passed away with his family by his side after a long and courageous fight with cancer. The resident of Strathroy, ON was in his 74th year.

Beloved husband to Isabel Ann and father of Ron, Peggy, Janet, and Diane, Clarence is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The owner, trainer and driver campaigned many standardbreds in the 1960s, '70s and early '80s at Western Fair Raceway and the Southern Ontario racing circuit. O'Neill took great pride in breaking and working with yearlings for the Dave Wall Stable.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the family and friends of Clarence O'Neill.
