The 2021 season of harness racing wrapped up at Hiawatha Horse Park with a 12-dash card on Saturday (Sept. 18).
Stacey Currie's Zarconia Seelster was one of the top horses of the meet at the Sarnia area oval, and she picked up her fifth local win of the season in the Saturday finale. The six-year-old daughter of Shadow Play - Dreamfair Zoya hung on by a nose over Cafe Society (Donnie Rankin Jr.) with the mile timed in 1:58.
Leading driver honours for the meet went to Marc St. Louis Jr. by virtue of his 33 wins, with Tyler Nostadt capturing the training title with 17 victories.
