Hava Kadabra Trots To Preferred Win

Firing to the lead from post eight, Hava Kadabra showed some front-end magic in capturing Tuesday’s $22,500 Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.

Hava Kadabra outdueled Heza Challenger for the early lead and was so strong on top for Dave Palone that no rival could mount an effective threat. The five-year-old Ontario sired son of Kadabra and Armbro Vixen scored in 1:55, three-quarters of a length better than Heza Challenger, with Break The Bank K third.

Ron Burke trains Hava Kadabra, who now boasts $284,730 in career earnings, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and Yannick Gingras.

The win was one of six on the 16-race card for Palone and one of three for Burke.
