Driver Stephane Brosseau won his 3,00th race during the Saturday afternoon (August 26) card at Ayer's Cliff in Quebec.
With his first drive of the card, Brosseau pointed veteran Abundasass to the front and didn't look back. With only two foes to defeat after two early breakers, Abundasass trotted through fractions of :31, 1:03 and 1:34 before holding on for a half-length win in 2:05.
Brosseau added to his next thousand-win count with a victory in the finale aboard Mister Big Top.
A longtime fixture on the Quebec circuit, Brosseau now boasts 3,001 wins and more than $18.7 million in purses.
