Bettor Again unleashed a speedy :25.4 final frame to capture the $30,000 Preferred 2 Pace at Mohawk Racetrack on Saturday night and lower his lifetime mark below the 1:50-barrier.

Trained and driven by Mike Vanderkemp, Bettor Again rallied home from third over to win in 1:49.1 by two lengths. Longshots Ideal Choice (Jody Jamieson) and Mach Dreamer (Rick Zeron) finished second and third, respectively. Silver Eagle (Randy Waples) faded to fourth after he fired off the gate from post 10 and led the field through fractions of :26.2, :55, and 1:22.2, while first over challenger Ok Commander (Doug McNair) earned the final paycheque in fifth.

Bettor Again paid $21.10 to win as the 9-1 fourth choice in the field. The five-year-old Bettors Delight-Jated Love gelding, who earned his 10th career win and is just shy of the $300,000 earnings mark, is owned by Patricia Stable.
